I don’t really believe in “Golden Era’s” of the church when things were so much better than they are now. The 1950’s, The Great Awakening, The Reformation, The Acts of the Apostles…sure great things happened and God moved in mighty ways, but each era has its own issues to deal with, and ours is no different. I’m naming the ones here that bother me most. My generation tends to take the cynical tack of criticizing and walking away from an establishment that has problems. But we’re only going to make a difference if we name what’s wrong because we love the church, and then try to love it into a better reality.
